AN URBAN DESTINATION FOR WORK, LIVING & LEARNING

How can we re-think our existing building portfolio to be fit for the future world of work? How do we transform and upgrade the existing buildings and minimise any new construction? What other elements are needed to create a future-proofed masterplan and attract new businesses?

The Ulrikkenborg district offers a huge opportunity to define a workplace destination for future generations, where new urban models provide flexible space for creative collisions and exchanges between work communities. New businesses are encouraged to interact, support and trade with each other and by doing so will develop a village ecosystem for innovation.

Lyngby Innovation Village (LIV) proposes adaptive reuse of existing office buildings to create a new business campus at the city centre. Densification is achieved by increasing mixed use facilities – including serviced live-work premises to attract Lyngby’s young expat population and international visitors.

LIV seeks to actively support the development of new businesses, through flexible leasing and smart initiatives to support small-medium enterprises. Site diversity is achieved through high volumes of small tenants, with space in reserve to allow for fast growth, or without moving off site. The new model combines working, learning and living concepts for business communities who want to benefit from each other, moving away from traditional siloed institutions towards highly diverse. Strategic and entrepreneurial networks.
